Jared, owner of J.Schulberger Studios, grew up in Bucks County in a family with a great appreciation of history, antiques and tradition. His parents and grandparents were collectors of fine furniture . Initially, Jared studied Fine Art, but decided to switch gears and pursue a career in the outdoors. Upon receiving a degree in Forestry, he worked in Montana for both the Conservation Corps and the U.S. Forest Service spending summers in the western wilderness.
After a few years, the urge to be back east brought him home and he has since submerged himself in traditional building techniques, architectural styles, and woodworking practices. These skills have bridged the gap between the worlds of art and forestry.
With special attention given to proportion, tradition, materials, and design, Jared works closely with his clients to give them one-of-a-kind, finely crafted projects.
Every piece of wood and its grain are considered when designing and building. Through relationships with several sawmills, Jared is able to get locally and sustainably harvested lumber cut specifically for your project.
